Cloud Chats
Cloud chats use Cloud AI models in chats. By default, Socrates uses GPT-4o hosted by Microsoft Azure. Learn more about our Socrates' AI Data Privacy Guide or Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Data Privacy policy.
Local Chats
Local chats only use models you download. All documents are stored and processed on your local machine. Our experience is that open source LLM models are less performant than GPT-4o, but are still useful especially with local Deep Dives (coming soon).
